I have spent my career doing the one thing county government needs most: managing money responsibly and telling people the truth about the numbers.
I am CPA and I have 20 years of experience helping my clients and small business owners make sense of their finances, plan for the future, and stay accountable to a budget. I know what it means when costs go up faster than income — because I see it in my clients’ books, and I live it as a small business owner myself. My husband John and I both have small businesses in Jefferson County.
My family has called Jeffco home since 2014. John and I have been married 26 years and we have raised our two sons in JeffCo. We have lived in Deer Creek Canyon since 2018.
I have volunteered countless hours at church and
the school where my boys attend. I can usually be found on the sidelines of the football field cheering on my sons and their team mates.
My commitment to public service led me to serve as Treasurer of a Jeffco Charter School for almost 6 years. That role taught me how public money really moves, the tradeoffs, the pressure, and
the responsibility that comes with spending taxpayer dollars. I learned that most budget problems aren’t about a lack of money; they’re about a lack of discipline and transparency.
That’s exactly what I want to change at the county level. A Jefferson County Commissioner helps set the county budget, oversees essential services, manages growth and land use, and supports public safety; these are the day-to-day operations
that shape everyday life in Jeffco. It’s fundamentally a job about competent management and honest stewardship. It’s the job I have effectively been training for my entire career.
I’m not running to climb a political ladder or advance an agenda from somewhere else. I’m running because I believes Jefferson County deserves a commissioner who reads the fine print, asks the hard questions, and shows the public exactly where their money goes.
